ABOUT ME
Bethany Lacktorin is a social practitioner, performance artist, organizer, media producer and musician. Her practice explores issues and meanings surrounding identity, displacement and our connection through land, place and shared experiences.

​Dedicated to creating and supporting third spaces in rural places Bethany's cross sector work is an intersection of of arts and culture, main street, food access, social justice, and civic life.

Expressed as music, movement, sound, story and object, Bethany's artistic work has been presented on stages, galleries and institutions across the US and Europe. A professional sound engineer for 20 years she's earned credit as sound designer for feature films, documentaries, short films, television and radio.
Bethany studied violin at Lawrence University, receive her AAS in Music Production at McNally Smith College of Music and her BFA in Experimental Media at Prague College School of Art & Design.
